How I spent my day!

seriously, i was being fed the WHOLE day by different people. special cookies, cupcakes, cake, chocolates… haha! i like my colleague’s philosophy: “birthday calories don’t count” so i ate. and i ate and i ate…

after work, the usual suspects gathered for a casual dinner at trunk

after which we adjourned to sof’s for cake, drinks and random chit chat.

now, let me tell you that these are people after my own heart. remember how i was daydreaming about cake from le petit gateau? well, no prizes for guessing where my birthday cake was from. ok that passionfruit+chocolate mousse on a brownie layer cake (whatever they call it) was SO GOOD, i ate a quarter of it. i know, a quarter isn’t a big thing because it’s not a big cake. hmm..actually… PITY it wasn’t a big cake. we’ll definitely be trying other stuff from there. sometime. i need to hit the gym first!

i came home to a lollypot (pot of rocher and a bottle of sparkling) on the dining and a variety of little cute cupcakes after work….and ooohh that card in the picture could be the sweetest thing ever. you can’t see it but it opens up to a few panels of pictures (taken from my flickr lol lol lol) of good times with the gang. people might laugh at my triggerhappy-ness but these pictures made me realise that i have “head knowledge” of those events happening but looking at them made me remember how i felt during those moments. i’ve got a few presents on their way (thank yous!!)… but i reckon those are just verypink icing on the cake.

well, we have a degustation planned at attica tomorrow followed by late night drinks (been a while since we last went out out!) and brunch at grigons&orr on saturday with the sister and the brotherinlaw to end my few days worth of birthday celebration. (man, i’d be in serious trouble if all these feasting doesn’t end..)

thank you all for the time you’ve set aside for me, for the gifts, the calls, the sms-es, the facebook msgs, the msn msgs, the blog comments, the tweets…(omg social networking overload haha). i’m so lucky! ♥
